The Australian production nursery industry faces a large and diverse range of pests and diseases. To prepare industry in the event of an incursion of an exotic plant pest or pathogen, a range of contingency plans have been developed by Plant Health Australia and more recently the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and GIA. Recent contingency plans have been funded by Horticulture  Innovation Australia using nursery industry levy funds through projects NY11001 and NY15002.
